Press Release: CMU hosts the 7 th World University Boxing Championship 2016
The Executive Committee of the University Athletic Association of Thailand, Office of the Higher Education Commission, has been assigned by the Federation of International University Sports – FISU to promote the event of Chiang Mai University hosting the 7 th World University Boxing Championship 2016 during 3-8 October, 2016, with 24 counties and over 300 people participating.
At a press release on September, 6 th at CMU’s UNISERV, Chiang Mai’s Governor, Mr. Prawin Chamniprasart gave a welcoming address and Clin. Prof. Niwes Nantachit, President of Chiang Mai University provided a report, and Mr. Pichai Chunhawachira, President of Thailand Boxing Association offered the associations support as a sponsor of the event.
In addition, Assist. Prof. Manop Manasam, Deputy Director of Center for the Promotion of Arts and Culture, gave a presentation on the Opening and Closing Ceremony, which will be broadcasted live on free digital TV – NEWTV, via website: http://wucboxing2016.cmu.ac.th/
